The item description says “need tuya zigbee hub to operate. Won’t works with zigbee2mqtt or home assistant or alexa,google home . . . Zigbee2mqtt: requires pairing with tuya gateway first, then disconnecting from tuya gateway, and then it is detected and can be operated by zigbee2mqtt”
This was not true for me. I neither have the tuya app nor the tuya gateway. I am using zigbee2mqtt with a sonof zigbee usb stick (together with openhab). And with this configuration a could connect the siren alarm without any problems. I can set volume, alarme type, duration and on/off without any problems.
So, from my point of view, a tuya gateway (or app) is not needed.

I ordered that siren to work with smartthings hub. i don’t have tuya hub. i was able to pair it with smartthings ok then used a custom driver. it works ok, i like it have different tones. dog barking is funny.
