The emmc and adapter arrived exactly as described, and was packaged very well. While no instructions came with the items themselves, the qidi wiki had them all easily available.
There was no need to update the software on this, as it was already up to date. I attempted to update the firmware for the printer after installing and moving over my files, but noticed it was already at the latest revision.
Quick and easy upgrade, well worth it, good price.
