The ENS160 AHT21 is a modern air quality CO2 sensor designed for monitoring indoor air in homes and buildings. This digital multi-gas sensor perfectly detects various gases and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including toluene, hydrogen, ethanol, NO2, and ozone. The air quality CO2 sensor is used for home automation, building management, household appliances, and air purification. It is an ideal solution for those who want to monitor indoor air conditions and ensure a healthier environment for their family or office.
CO2 air quality sensor designed for those using the Arduino platform for home automation projects. Suitable for home air recovery systems, air purifiers, heating and ventilation systems (HVAC). Practical tip: connect the sensor to Arduino via the I2C interface, set up the program, read data from the sensor, and control household appliances based on air quality. This sensor is ideal for smart home and office automation.
Q: Does the ENS160 sensor replace the CCS811?
Yes, the ENS160 is a more advanced replacement for the CCS811. It has better calibration, measures CO2 and VOC more accurately, and works quickly after power-on. Compatible with the same Arduino projects, but with better performance and reliability.
Q: Does the sensor require special maintenance?
No, the sensor requires almost no maintenance. Keep away from water, heat sources, and mechanical damage. Periodically check the connection. The sensor is resistant to humidity and siloxanes, so it will work for a long time without problems.
Q: What is the delivery time and is there a warranty?
Delivery time depends on your location — usually 5-14 days. The product has a manufacturer's warranty and the TopSmart store return policy. If you have any problems, please contact our customer service.

Rating –
This ens160+aht21 sensor works well. An i2c scan shows 0x53 for the ens160_i2c and 0x38 for the aht21 (actually an aht20 i believe). I’m using with esphome on multiple sensor boards. The air quality index is a value between 1 and 5 representing quality of the air with 1 being great to 5 being poor.
