FNIRSI GC-01 is a compact radiation detector designed to detect and measure ionizing radiation, including beta particles, gamma rays, and X-rays. This device operates on the principle of a high-precision Geiger-Müller counter, making it suitable for both curious users and those who want to check the safety of their environment, food, or old items such as marble. Results are displayed immediately, and danger signal settings can be easily adjusted to meet individual needs.
This GC-01 radiation detector is suitable for people who want to check household items – stones, marble, old antiques, or electronic accessories – for potential radioactivity. It is also useful for travelers, collectors, or simply curious individuals who want to understand the background radiation in their environment. To use it, bring the device close to the object being tested and observe the results displayed on the screen, selecting the alarm threshold according to the desired sensitivity.
Question: What type of radiation can this device detect?
The device detects beta particles, gamma rays, and X-rays using a high-precision Geiger-Müller counter with a gas tube or a small chamber as a probe.
Question: How does the measurement mechanism work?
When the voltage at the probe reaches a certain level, each ionization in the tube creates a pair of ions, which are amplified into an equal-sized electrical pulse and registered.
Question: Can the alarm settings be adjusted?
Yes, the measurement speed limit for the alarm can be freely selected, depending on the desired sensitivity for a particular situation.
If you are looking for a reliable way to check the radioactivity of your environment or objects, the GC-01 radiation detector is a practical solution for home use, travel, or collecting. Its compact size and clear operating principle make it convenient for everyday use.

It did come with the m4011 tube as promised and i was able to flash it with radpro, although only the 2.1.1 version as the 3.x branch currently has an issue. But overall i’m very happy with it.
