The quality is acceptable. According to the design, it should work on dry, frictional surfaces made of plastic; it doesn’t seem like Teflon. Perhaps this is the reason for premature failure due to overheating. I lubricated it with machine oil, it became quieter but performance dropped. It’s loud for a residential space, definitely needs a sound-absorbing box, and this is half a step away from overheating. Delivery to Omsk took 5 days, not tracked. Inside is a diode that operates on one half-wave, during which air is drawn in and the spring compresses; then the diode closes and air is expelled by the piston under the influence of the spring. Everything is repairable on the knees except for the rubbing surfaces.

Amazing quality for the price! All set up and delivering 6 points of air to my outdoor fish pond. I’ve made a housing to protect it from rain and dirt, seems to work like a charm pumping a nice volume of clean fresh air into the pond.
Kit came with: pump, large dia short length outlet hose, non-return valve, 6 way manifold, approx 14 m of small dia silicon hose to be cut to desired lengths, 6 stone ball air diffusers. An aussie ac power adapter.
It’s not exactly quiet, but the volume of noise is low enough to leave it on without annoyance, at least during the day, as this pond is only a few metres from some bedrooms looking over it.
Very impressed with the manufacturing quality of the pump and all of the components. The pump even contains its own air filter, recommended to clean every two months.
Extremely happy with this purchase!
