Very good camera and works on Linux, but if you are going to buy one for recording yourself or video calls, it’s better to get the 2.8-12mm one because the 5-50mm one has too much zoom.

Delivery within 10 days, pretty fast. I used it for microscopy, with an adapter. It does not focus well, but that is the problem of the adapter, can’t say much about the sharpness of the camera really- i see it’s not very light sensitive compared to other cams that i tested of similar price/build, but it shows fewer “rainbow errors” aka chromatic abberation, so the sensor is comparably small (=not very light sensitive) but precise enough. Really, i use the camera outside the marketed domain, so no complains and 4 stars as i guess it works fine for the marketed domain. Also, when plugin in into windows 10 it was instantly recognized and a driver installed with no problems. Also solid aluminium case- looks all okay for a general day light use and for microscopy, i first need a better adapter before i really can give a decisive rating on the resolution.

Delivery within 14 days- i have already such a camera and appreciate them for their high resolution, that i use for microscopy . Easy to plugin in windows, good solid aluminium case. Just not extremely light sensitive as the imx462, but otherwise a good product. I feel, with the comparably small ccd a 5mp is probably what it really delivers, the rest is “interpolated” but that’s already a lot. I didn’t test for speed neither zoomin on distance, as i do only have objectives for near observations.
