I tried grating potatoes for hash browns and it was very hard with the skin on the taters but once i peeled them they grated very easily. i really like that there is a tray for the food to fall in to and washing is easy with the drain tray. i found dicing potatoes a bit more challenging. you have to push hard to get the potatoes through the blades.
