The radio works perfectly and meets the described specifications; the declared 5W power is slightly less, but the modulation is good. It accepted the OPENGD77 firmware without any problems.
ATTENTION, the Opengd77 firmware file for this radio is called “OpenMDUV380.zip”, do not use other files. The donor file is the usual “MD9600-CSV(2571V5)-V26.45.bin” do not use other files even for the model with GPS. Very satisfied.

The device is amazing. And the seller is very helpful. I know nothing about dmr but i was able to flash opengd77 cfw in one day. I just downloaded the essentials 1.rt3s usb driver but windows 11 might work without installing these drivers. 2.rt3s programming software v2. 3.opengd77 cps installer. 4.dfuse driver 3 .0 5. donor firmware md9600.bin. 6.openmd uv380.zip used without extracting. Amazing radio but if i want to be picky i would say the channel knob needs improvement it gets heavy near a full turn and the keypad makes squishy foam slippers noise lol when you press any key lightly. I’ve considered buying the retevis rt3s many times, and i’ve bought it for many friends – they were all happy with it, but one of them convinced me to install the open gd-77 firmware, and i don’t regret it. it’s simply great.

I opted for the rt3s model from retevis to implement the opengd77 firmware for the purpose of experimenting in the field of amateur radio. The choice turned out to be an inspired one, the results being excellent.
The support from the supplier’s technical service was very good, they were very prompt and attentive to the user’s needs.

The radio with its factory software does not receive well in DMR mode, it’s the same problem as the Baofeng DM-1701 brand; it’s silent in DMR, only decoding nearby and strong signals.
I installed the Opengd77 software and everything changed; it receives digital stations from a greater distance, and the battery lasts two days in reception mode with the GPS activated.
It feels like professional equipment due to the texture of the casing.
