Buyer questions

Q: Is a gateway required for the soil moisture sensor?
Yes, this device uses Zigbee technology and a Tuya gateway is ABSOLUTELY required to establish a connection. Without a gateway, the device cannot function or transmit data to the app, making it a mandatory additional component for purchase.

Q: How long do the batteries last?
Two AA batteries will likely last 6-12 months, depending on usage intensity and weather conditions. Low power consumption ensures economical operation, but you will need to replace the batteries periodically during seasonal use.

Q: Can I use the sensor indoors or only outdoors?
The sensor can be used both indoors and outdoors as it has an IP67 water resistance rating. However, it is optimized for outdoor use. Indoors, use it in safe areas, damp flower beds, or plant container systems to monitor seed germination.
